"I did not take this photo."

I did not take this photo.

It was black when I first found it on my phone...

While assisting with some late night repairs at a family members house (plumbing problems at midnight are never fun) I found my cell phone had gone missing. This normally wouldn't have been to strange as we all tend to be in the habit of setting those damn things down anywhere. However, I know I had it on me since I had to call to get in the house, his daughter was asleep and a knock at the door would have set off their dogs.

So we got to work sorting the leak and just before we were done I planned on calling my wife to let her know I was heading home. This is when I realized my phone had gone missing. We spent a good hour searching the whole house but couldn't find it. Tried calling it and nothing, which is weird as my phone is always set to have it's ringer on. My sister-in-law made a joke about their ghost making off with it since things go missing then turn up in places they shouldn't be all the time apparently.

Well we finished up the fix and I just asked my brother to let me know when the phone turns up. Just as I'm about to leave we hear the baby crying. His wife went upstairs to check on their daughter, that's when she called down for us to come upstairs. We got there to find what was making the baby cry. The window to her room was open and sitting on the window sill was my phone, ringing. I grabbed it and found my wife calling.

It is worth noting that the repair i came over to help with was downstairs and with the baby sleeping we didn't go upstairs at all. Plus the window isn't one that is ever opened as it's a small window that faces the blank wall of the next door house. In any case weird as it seemed I drove home after making my goodbyes.

It was the next day when going through my phone I found a pitch black image. I typically don't take photos so i was really confused about what it was. That was when I checked the date and time and found that it was taken while the phone was missing. I showed my wife and with her computer skills she adjusted the image to what you see here. I have no idea what house this is and it just leaves me feeling off.

Always open to learning anything about it. If you know what house this is or if ghosts have ever taken photos before please do share.

Route 174

While normally the roads and paths along the Georgia and South Carolina coastline tend to be full of green lively vegetation there are places and times you should seek to avoid.

Be mindful if you ever find yourself driving towards Edisto Island on SC Route 174 at night and make sure you don't take any wrong turns.

One of the many winding old roads that you my discover is Lochs Trail. Foolishly this pathway was carved hundreds of years ago by settlers who were warned not to travel through those particular swampland trees.

It's said that on that road your car's electronics will begin to malfunction, your GPS will not be able to connect or guide you. If you see something, someone, lurking off the road DO NOT STOP.
